Looking for information and contact with descendents of of my great-great Uncle Christopher BRITTON, b. 1838 Rutland, Vermont. Moved with his parents, Lucius and Phobe (Hart) BRITTON, 3 brothers and one sister to Hillsdale Co., MI in 1855. After service in the Civil War, Christopher BRITTON left Hillsdale Co. and moved "up north". I recently found out he lived near and owned land in the Big Rapids, Mecosta Co., area. The one and only descendant of Uncle Christopher BRITTON that I have contact with gives his date of death as January 22, 1923, place not given, but possibly Mecosta Co. We would like to find out where Uncle Christopher is buried. Any information and help will be much appreciated.

My great-grandfather had a farm in Morton Township. His name was William Johncox. Married Mary Baker (uncle J.E.Morton).Children Clare & Minnie. Morton Cemetery on 70th Ave, Mocosta Co. has the Johncox plot. Minnie is my grandmother. She is buried at Croton Dam, Newaygo Co. Clara is buried at the Morton Cem. next to her husband, Earl Youngquist.

My Greatgrandfather lived in Remus,Mecosta Co. he and his wife Sarah(manley) Burss were school teaches and lived on a farm on Buchnan(?) Rd. They raised their family their girls married Losie, Bullock, and Mills. Would like any info. on any of these families.Grandfather taught in schoolhouse, I am told where the bank now stands, don't think either taught long as they bought the farm and farmed.
